Over 8 years after ground was first broken for the project, we see TTC 6101 at the end of the inaugural run on the long awaited Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension. With support for free TTC rides across the system for opening day, thousands turned out to check out the region's newest transit infrastructure, the first Toronto subway extension to open in over 15 years. In another first, this extension marks the first time the subway has departed the City of Toronto.
