The blue two will soon be no more. On December 10, 2013, GSCX 7362 was delivered to Lambton Diesel Specialist Inc. in Sarnia to be repainted in to Genesee & Wyoming corporate colours. GSCX 7369 and GSCX 7362 are seen throttling up heading east out of Guelph after adhering to the slow order through the City.

  1. It’s a superelevated curve as also seen here: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=9189

  2. The past two days there has been a change in the locomotive roster for GEXR 580/582
(Stratford to Vaughan). GP40-2W 3030 (nee CN 9431, ex SOR 9431) has been paired with 7369. I believe ex SP SD 45-2 9392 is on route to Sarnia to be repainted. however I can’t be sure. it may have just been switched out for servicing.

  3. 432/1 Troy, not 580/2.

  4. My mistake.

  5. Ya know, Rob; I saw that 7369 (and a mess of its cousins) leading so often on the D&H back in the 1990s that I hoped I’d never see the likes of it again……..but……… :o )

  6. It’s funny you should say that Arnold because I have a whole lot more shots of 7369 than I do 7362. I’m hoping the three SD’s get cycled to LDS over the winter so we’ll have lots of G&W orange to photograph in the Spring.

  7. FYI, CP was at one time looking to purchase those GATX/GSCX 73xx units, which is why there’s the big gap in the CP roster of 5432-5446. Evidently they decided otherwise.

  8. Actually it’s been 2303 on 432/431.

3030 is in Goderich out of service, and 9392 is out of service with a blown turbo.

7362 is currently getting painted in Sarnia .
