This cute little station looks almost exactly as it did many years ago. That is, once upon a time when it sat at mile 32.92 of the old CN Cayuga Sub in the hamlet of Moulton. (about 25 KM west of Port Colborne) By the time I discovered this place it had long lost its status and had been demoted to a storage building on a local farm. Sadly looking worse for wear, at least it had not been destroyed like so many others. Or maybe it has. I neglected to mark its location back 35 years ago and now I cannot find it. It may be lost. It would be a real shame.

    Ah Moulton….made a couple of trips here back a few years ago when I lived closer to home. Not to worry though….I believe what happened is that the farm sold. The station was either purchased by, or given to the Wainfleet historical group….I do believe they fixed it up quite nicely, and it should be on display on or near the Wainfleet fairgrounds/pioneer village within the namesake town. Mind you….I have no notes. Strictly relying on memory. I do remember after finding out it’s current location, I had wanted to go and get updated photos. Still waiting to get back there…..

    You can see it in Google Streetview. 32080 Sideroad 20. It’s a bit more visible in the 2012 view.

    Another Mooney gem ! I didn’t even know Moulton existed. What a “cute” station, love the little operator’s bay window. I may not have seen it before, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been here before. Whether it was riding the mixed train from Brantford to Fort Eries with Messrs Mills and Sandusky one New Year’s Eve, or a TTTA excursion, I have been here . . . fleetingly. Too bad it couldn’t have been preserved. John
