This is sort of a repeat. Not the same photo but in the same sequence of shots of a detouring NS #328 auto parts train. A handful of detours were the result of Bridge 6 being closed down for maintenance at times. I posted an image similar to this 12 years ago (can't believe it has been this long) but anything of this sort is now pretty much an impossibility since Bridge 10, the route to the reconnection with CN at Allanburg-Port Rob, was removed in 1997.
Power is CP 6621, GATX 7371 and NS 6125. The canal lock being busy as well makes this shot complete. I happen to like this version better than the original posting.
Cheers!

  1. Darn fumble-fingers!! The CP should read 5521.

  2. Incredible shot… quite certain both ships are scrapped, … a very different southern ON manufacturing / rail landscape 30 years on

  3. This is an all timer of a shot for me. It’s still just as mind blowing to me years later seeing it. This was two years before my existence in this world, I was not meant to be a Niagara railfan hahaha

  4. Awesome

  5. The Algoma one looks like Algocape!
