Back in the day when VIA actually had all the bases covered here in Southern Ontario, we see train #84 (since abolished)accelerating after picking up passengers at the old Dundas Station. Time is 1020. In the background there is trackwork ongoing. It's a sea of humanity back there.

  1. Is the track gang removing the crossovers?

  2. Another memory failure on my part. You are correct. Crossovers coming out!!

  3. But you have a good memory of the date/time…exact date is essential and you even have the time! Another great shot Arnold. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Kevin: Thanks. After bumbling with GEXR doings on that other image, I appreciate your comment. So much, in fact, I think I’ll go have me a beer.

  5. ummm…I worked here on/off from 1969 to 1973 and I don’t remember any crossovers. CTC went in around 70/71. Maybe changing a broken rail or two…??

  6. Sweet!
