Caption: Almost nothing left on the "gentle island" but memories these days.......but even back in the day rail traffic was sporadic. After all, with only 140,000 people on the whole island/province, how much activity could there be? I was lucky to catch a local working Kensington. CN 1752 and 1751, a pair of RSC-18s, were just heading out of town toward Summerside, if I recall correctly, was I was heading in. The Sidekick and I were meeting friends for dinner, otherwise I would have gladly followed this train around longer than the half hour I did. All rail activity on the Island was gone by 1990; but this province is still a great place to visit, and besides, there is a solitary locomotive on display in Kensington still, CN 1762, as well as a beautiful stone station.
