Under the fine looking evening sun on one of the longest night of the year, we find CN Intermodal 149 on the roll westbound with some goodies! Train has just departing the CN BIT moments ago and before the regular intermodel cars, we find a stack of 5 CN Buisness coaches! While I am not sure where they were destined for nor their purpose, it was a treat in general to be able see them and add them to my collection! The power was nice too, CN sd75Is 5701 and 5774! Both facing forward! Time is 19:49 and photo was taken directly on top of Bramalea road which is just east of the station! Highway 407 is the overpass half a mile or so away!

  1. Nice catch Graydon. Those business cars are returning from Halifax where they were used as part of the CN 100 festivities down there over the weekend.

  2. Pretty neat catch.

This would be the “Halwest” interlocking on the CN Halton Sub.

  3. Great sun and great catch Graydon. Nice work man.

  4. Fantastic scene Graydon.

  5. Excellent man Keep em coming

  6. @ MrDan. No the train is not at Halwest, although the tail end might be still coming out. The head end is on the approach to the plant at Peel

  7. Agreed with the sentiment below. This is a great summer catch. I’m hoping to see a half decent 149 in daylight myself before the summer is out.

  8. @ ngineered4u, is that not Halwest right underneath the 407? Sure looks like it to me, but hey, I’m a westerner now!

  9. Certainly an impressive image. Dazzling.

  10. Thank you everyone for all the nice complements and info about the buisness cars and even location!!
On May 5 when 148 eastbound to BIT had these cars (Steve actually caught that train http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=37581) I myself actually seen them at BIT in the evening sitting on one of the yard storage tracks (where 148 likley set em off) and even got a picture of them with the Yard Tramp while it was switching the containers but nonetheless thanks for the info. I’ll likely share my shot too at some point from 05/05.
