While CN L568 has operated with six-axle units recently and during other instances in 2019 as well as over the winter, the first time it was believed to have happened since CN returned to the Guelph Subdivision was in July 2019. The previous day’s L568 didn’t make it back from Stratford and A431 had set-off 8916 at Kitchener that morning. Here CN 8916 solo brings 40 +cars through Baden to Stratford where it would also lift the previous day's timed-out L568, which included CN 1444.

  1. Nice! I remember I was in Edmonton this day and travelling back so I missed it. Then you informed me of the power the next morning ready for A431 lift, which you just posted :)

  2. Thanks Kevin. It was certainly a neat sequence of events.
