During the CN strike of 2019, CN Kitchener crews were left with a big power set as they were still operating normally due to being under a separate union agreement. Here CN L568 is departing Kitchener for Stratford on the Guelph Subdivision with 8863, 8901, 2674 and 2434.

  1. Such big heavy power traveling along the Guelph towards Stratford.. definitely not something we’d see everyday, nice shot Jay!

  2. Awesome! Apparently I missed all the good stuff after I moved to Hamilton :( This would have been a great site through Kitchener. Great spot for shooting too!

  3. They look so out of place…. this was a great chase, the Cowl in Stratford was also a nice touch. One of the *very* few times one ended up there.. if not the only time since the takeover.

  4. It happened more than once

  5. Twice.

  6. Thanks for all the comments guys.

BC Rail 4612 was the other cowl that made it’s way to Stratford on L568 from July 28-July 30, 2019.
