In the theme of those lesser lights on CN we no longer witness, CN SW1200RM 7306 leads 3 other units around the wye at Fort Erie and then to the fueling area. Of the old 7300 series there is only one left (7311); and according to the Trackside Guide it is working in Mac Yard.
Power in this grouping pictured behind 7306 consists of GT 6424, 6423 and CN 5099.

"Fort Erie South" name sign was at 0.7 of the old CN Dunnville Sub.

  1. Wow! what a consist.

  2. Another great shot shot Arnold! I was struck by the date. The same day you took this shot was the same day I saw my very last revenue freight in Newfoundland! Three friends and I had just returned from a wedding in Goose Bay on the Sir Robert Bond and in the wee hours of the morning spotted the former 204 just west of Gander. I remember my friend Paul saying, “Well, I guess that’s the last train I’ll ever see in Newfoundland.” Sadly, it was for all of us. – Ken

  3. What a sad day for you, Ken. It is hard to believe all those years have passed already.
