GEXR's Goderich deadline in 2009 was worth a stopover on the way to Kinkardine for a wedding. Lots of power. RLK 4001 was at the actual shop, and the GEXR caboose and orange plow were by the champion grader ramps north of the station. 6061 is a former PRR SD40 rebuilt into a SD40M-3 if you believe Internet sources.

  2. Given the date the F units really didn’t see too much service up there.. i mean for a while it happened… but then suddenly bam, done

    pretty cool how they ended up on OSR.

  3. Nice deadline photo. I believe HLCX 6061 and it’s HLCX sisters departed GEXR the following year when the GATX SD’s arrived.
