Off into the sunset, I guess you could say. The tail end of a Hamilton-bound TH&B train, powered by TH&B 73, 71 & 77 (posted a few years ago) passes the private drive to a Power Plant building in downtown Niagara Falls. Totally unrecognizable location now, this area is built up extensively with hotel towers and a casino, which sits on this once relaxing trainwatching spot.
So fitting the photographer gets a healthy wave.

  1. The double cross bucks, on both sides of the crossing, I find are quite amazing.

  2. Whoops, missed this is photo post number 2000 for you Arnold. Congratulations and your Canada wide collection keeps us anxiously awaiting your next entry. :-)

  3. Love the double cross bucks with railway crossing spelled out, both in English no less ! No bilingualism here. And a nice “traditional “ wave from rear end train crew member – so nice, and now all of this gone including the van. Thanks for a small piece of nostalgic history, John

  4. Thanks, Lads. But geez, Brundle; awaiting my next entry?? I guess I should mention that after 2000 entries and 3 million views, I am taking a break. But then, it is largely because we are going on vacation to the Dakotas.
    Cheers !!!

  5. The wave really makes this shot. Nice one!

  6. Have a good vacation Arnold! Travel safe and congrats on #2000! This is a most interesting crossing, never seen this

Does it have any lights that flash at top or is that just to illuminate the sign?

  7. Can’t say. I’d go with the illumination. Lot of fancy signage for a private road that goes only a couple of hundred feet.

  8. Too beautiful to be real…but there it is….simply amazing

  9. Wow ! 2000 pictures posted !! Now there is a record, well done !!! John

  10. Congrats on your 2000th posted photo! Looks like they shopped and painted the van just for this occasion! :-) Keep em’ coming!

  11. Congratulations, Arnold, on #2000! Your passion and skilled photography is admired and immensely appreciated!

  12. Awesome photo Arnold. Great choice for # 2000.

  13. Thanks very much Lads. I have mixed reactions, however, on comments like “keep them coming” when I am planning to take some time off. :o )
Time, that is, for a vacation. The lady and I are going to the Dakotas, of all places. There will be things to see. Cheers!!
