Rounding the curve just above Parry Sound's Cascade Street dam, CN train 52, the daily Vancouver - Toronto section of the Super Continental, rolls across the Saugeen River at mile 2 of the Sudbury Sub.  Scheduled to depart Parry Sound at 1040h, the train is due into Toronto's Union Station just over four hours later at 1445h.  Running from South Parry to Capreol, the Sudbury Sub today makes up the northern portion of the Bala Sub.Scan and editing by Jacob Patterson.

  4. Unreal. The diesels sure are nice, but I can only imagine it wasn’t that much earlier you’d see steam going by here..

  5. Now this is a real treat! This has always been a favourite location of mine so seeing this view from ’62 is quite something.

  8. Thank you all for your comments. The person “holding up the Do Not Trespass sign” is my dearly-missed buddy Jim Brown. We were out celebrating the end of university exams, He wanted a more “head-on” shot, I was too lazy to climb down to the r-of-w, so obeyed the sign – no forest fire smoke that day, John
