Northbound BNSF manifest H-LYDVBT1-12A (I guess not just a three-digit number!) is on its way to Thornton Yard as it approaches Colebrook Jct. in south Surrey with Mt. Baker in Washington as a backdrop. The complete power was BNSF 764-BNSF 7221-BNSF 1013-CN 8952 (the GT heritage unit). CN 8952 was being returned to CN after spending some time down in Washington, possibly horsepower hours between CN and BNSF. This train would soon meet a southbound BNSF grain train at Oliver Siding with two units up front and double tail end DPUs nose out!

  1. wow

  2. Beautiful.

  3. Awesome. Get a shot with the 8952 too?

  4. @SCH: yes but it wouldn’t make this site.

  5. There is a decent shot over the bridge at Mud Bay (posted by a non-RP.ca contributor) but there would be no time to set up at this location.

  6. Well done Kevin.
