Some action in the old Montrose yard in Niagara Falls on a beautiful afternoon. Eastbound train has just come in and the power has been broken up. First two are CP 1834 and 4220, with 1859 and 1849 left with train. I really do not see many photos from this yard. Nothing left there now, except perhaps the old office. At least it was there a few years ago. The only traffic thru these days is the Chippawa local, which is based out of Welland Yard.

  1. Nice to see 1859 there, who is no stranger to the Niagara Region.

  2. Oh those nice old MLW’s! Very nice Mr Mooney! Merry Christmas Sir!

  3. Well, thank you, Brad…..and of course the very same to you, and best wishes for (gasp) 2024. How the years fly by.

  4. Docta: Oh yes, 1859!!! Geez, I gotta wake up. I must have been asleep at the switch when I posted this, not realizing 1859 is still going strong in our world.

  5. Great photo of the MLW action Arnold.
