After missing CN L568’s perfect sunny day departure earlier in the week due to an appointment I had a feeling the rest of the week would be a battle to try and get this power set in sun. And wouldn’t you know it that’s exactly what happened. Finally on Friday, during a day where the weatherman had predicted nothing but rain and clouds, lucky sucker holes had developed during my lunch hour.

Here, CN L568 with BNSF GP38-2 2090, BNSF GP38-2 2926 and CN GP38-2 7521 is seen at Nafziger Road, just west of Baden, Ontario after switching industries around New Hamburg. The train would then proceed west to Stratford, Ontario over the Guelph Subdivision.

  1. Very nice! I heard this set is on 542 now but I could be wrong.

  2. Thanks Kevin.

They had this set working on L542 on Saturday. We’ll see what this week brings if they keep it together or break it up.
