This shot took many attempts over the course of the week to get the sun just right and then some descent power to go along. One of the few remaining out of the original twenty Vancouver Olympic trains fit the bill. CP 8876 leads CP 9816 out of Guelph Junction on their way south to Hamilton.

  1. What’s with the little bits of intermodal on this train??? Seems common now

  2. Beautiful shot! I was out that day too…the sun was shining nice :)

  3. Last of the “Olympic” paints. Wonder why this white band hung on and the others didn’t. Since CP isn’t interested in giving us some nice ‘heritage’ paints like some other railroads, I guess we have to settle for this meh variant.

  4. Arnold you got your wish. Imagine if this note was seen by cp mgmt and was a spark of it all? Haah one can dream
