CP 246 with CP 9357 and CP 7023 rumble past Appleby Line on their westward journey up the Galt sub to Guelph Junction where they will head to Hamilton. CP 7023 is sporting the paint scheme of the Canadian and US fighter jets. Just too bad it wasn't leading! Oddly enough, I've saw several others pictures of this train and most of them have birds overhead. Hmm.

  1. Nice Bill. I got it at Kinnear in substandard lighting . Thank you for the heads up. I definitely won’t be posting my shots!

  2. A bird over my shot, too. The colour must be attracting them for target practice.

  3. Thanks for your heads up Bill as I also caught this train later at Kinnear Yard where I met Kevin.I took many shots but none were worthy of posting.

  4. Wow! Where is the snow? Not even a skiff hiding somewhere. All the good photo spots are still accessible when you don’t have to go wading. :-)

  5. @ Larry Parks: Bare ground in the Hamilton area/western GTA. Where are you from? Welcome to December in Southern Ontario…tonnes of snow in one place and nothing in another!

  6. Edmonton. Not that we have a lot of snow, but, it has been definitely winter for a month now. I agree with your statement of snow in one area and not another. I have been seeing that in many of the recent photos posted. I would’ve loved to hop out of the car and run down this ditch in December back in the day. No wading and you don’t leave a bunch of foot prints in the snow, which don’t look to cute in a photograph.
