Caption: CN L540 is approaching Ottawa Street in Kitchener on the Huron Park Spur in early morning light. This location can be a tough crossing to photograph due to all the tightness of the tracks and the sun angles. Ideally you need a morning train as the sun will be on the more open side as seen here, which can be a further challenge as L540 infrequently ventures down the spur at this time of day. However on this Saturday morning everything seemed to come together. Powering the train are 4726, GMTX 2255 and 4761. GP38-2 4726, with its unique number-board, was set-off by the previous night’s A431. L540 would set-off all its cars at the interchange with Canadian Pacific and return light power back to the Kitchener yard.
