Nice treat to start off a day.......I am at mile 2 Dundas bright and early, this train rounded the curve heading toward Bayview at 0702 hrs. Power is BNSF 8084, 5389. Checking my logbook, the first three freights I saw this day; 396, 385 and 399 all had BNSF in consist.

  1. BN green & black and the big white stripe nose, one of the best paint schemes for countryside photos.

  2. Nice catch! I recall during this year that almost every other CN train either had US power as the sole power or in the consist. Lots of good stuff back then. These 390-series trains were definitely the ones to watch for for sole US power. And yes, there were warbonnets back then – in both the blue/yellow and silver/red :)

  3. Agree about the colour scheme. The BN green I love to see when it is not full summer foliage.
