Shortly after the photo was taken the power departed for the yard to put together a northbound train. WC 6677 was one of only a few WC locomotives to receive stripes on the nose rather than the standard pine tree nose design.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/img436m-200x150.jpg)

![The Guelph Junction Turn has arrived at Guelph Junction and is stopped at the office to allow the conductor to go in and get their paper work. Both RS18us were sold to the New Brunswick East Coast, which was then taken over by CN. 1821 was then sold to the Train Touristique Charlevoix. Looks like 1841 was scrapped by CN.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/img434m-200x150.jpg)

![Bright sun, fall colours, and a freshly painted SD40-2W... what more could you ask for? Original number boards, classification lights, and it still has a bell to boot! Not too shabby. CN 5347 is notable as being one of few CN locomotives to grace the rails of the former Bessemer & Lake Erie.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/DSC_8383m-200x150.jpg)

![CN 435 with recently repainted CN 8103 leading, passes RLHH 3403 working Brantford Yard. The RLHH was backing up at the time, so the timing worked out pretty good. ![Mr. Host's encouragement to submit older photos sparked me to look back through some earlier digital photos and I found this photo taken exactly six years ago to the day. 422 coming out of Hamilton with CN 9574, IC 1017, and CN 4135. CN GP40-2Ws were some common when I was kid we called them "regulars" as many trains had three of them for power... now I'm trying to think when the last time I saw one was. It's been a while! Thanks for the suggestion Steve, I look forward to see what others submit.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/DSC_2273rpca-200x150.jpg)

![GEXR 581 approaches the Hwy. 8 crossing as it slowly rolls in to Goderich with a short train. The first hopper would be set off on one of the sidings where they once loaded graders, and the remaining six cars were taking down to the salt mine. The second hopper was hauled back up, so it must have been for an elevator with an east facing switch that would be set off on the return to Stratford.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/DSC_7243m-200x150.jpg)

![If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it... Southern Ontario Railway used RLHH SD40-2 3404 as one of two units on 496 to switch Ingenia today.
