As the sun gets ready to set on a glorious western day, locomotive engineer Reg Avery climbs back aboard the lead unit of the Canadian. He and his fireman, who is just behind him have checked the running gear of the 3 trailing RS10's after the hot box detector at MP 30.8 broadcast an alarm. Everything checked okay, and the train was soon on its way to Medicine Hat.

  1. This is excellent Steve! I enjoy the human element and the lighting… and the power isn’t too shabby either.

  2. Thanks Mike. I agree, it’s a bonus when you get railroaders in a shot just doing their job. After all, it’s them that makes it happen.

  3. Gorgeous Steve. Classic VIA scheme, great colours, railroaders. Great!

  4. A great capture Steve! You caught everything!

  5. Sweet light in this scene. I like the low point of view and the inclusion of the code line. Nicely done, Steve.
