Too bad kitchener can't put together a consist like this right now. Back in the first few months of CN's return to the Guelph Sub, there were a few particular consists that stood out to me. This being one of the top. A solid, decently clean zebra set is pretty uncommon nowadays, especially with the influx of GM blue all over the 4 axle roster. 540's crew utilizes said power set as they make a few moves at the Shantz Station terminal, with 4777 in the lead facing west for Kitchener.

  1. It happened…. and could still happen

  2. Oh absolutely! Just been a while :)

  3. Iirc that set was only together a day as 540 was shuffling units around. They usually took an extra for the day then made a setoff at end of day for 533 to take back

    I shot it in Guelph.

    540 had a pair of 4100′s june 2019. A pair may 2020 in kitchener.
    551 had a trio for a week or two in July 2020. 540 a pair august 20 October 20 and November 20. 550/551 have a pair now.

A trio def rare. Have to be there when a pair gets one added.. i am partial to a set of matching noodle gp9′s tho.

  4. Nicely framed, Lucas.

  5. Thanks Earl! I’m a big fan of this spot. Lots of different angles to be seen

  6. A really great winter scene Lucas.

  7. Thanks Jason!

  8. Well I’m glad zebra paint trios (even 4 packs) still can be found. Since then, on the Guelph sub alone, we’ve had multiple pairs of zebra GP9s, some trios, and even the infamous 4 pack that stuck around for a bit. Pretty neat in 2022
