Well with today's powerful AC4400CWs and ES44ACs handling most of the tonnage to and from the west, one would be very hard pressed to see a set of locomotives like this any more. Even 30 years ago when I shot this, it was a real treat. Here was have 5 SD40-2s running northward over the Sequin River at Parry Sound: CP 6004, 5905, 5670, 6014 and 5909. Note the local feller down on the dock. He isn't the least bit interested.

  1. This is great Arnold. Reminds me of my childhood, seeing a train like this with all SD40s in the distance with their iconic sound.

  2. Love it!! All multi marks too!!

  3. Thanks guys. Yeah, 2 large multis, 3 small. :o )

  4. What Kevin said. How many hours spent in the fire tower hoping to hear a whistle……then magic

  5. Beauty shot!

  6. So much multimark!

  7. I like the CP domestic container behind the power. Looks like a 45 footer and has a multi-mark.
