While Murray Demolition takes down the former Royal Polymers plant in Sarnia, VIP Rail's recently acquired DOW 1007 is switching VIP's yard in Sarnia. This unit would get paint not too long after this photo. The recession of the late 2000's was not kind to Sarnia, Dow closed that spring (hence why 1007 was transferred - sold to VIP) and the Royal Polymers site along with dow met the demolition torch and nothing has replaced those sites to date. They are both empty. CSX and CN both got a lot of traffic from both plants.
