  3. When I hear fans scoffing at the potential of a locomotive long hood forward…

    I scoff at them and will point to this and say “see”. :)

    Especially units that were originally designed for it, such as the GP9′s.

  5. Great picture Earl! Here in Newfoundland, all our NF110′s and NF210′s (similar to a GP7/9 but narrow gauge) and the smaller G8′s operated long hood forward right until the very last train in 1988.
