For whatever reason, GMD1's do not seem to last long once they are assigned to Kitchener. However, during a brief period early this year, CN 1412 found its way to Kitchener where it operated on assignments for a short time between January and early February.

While most days during those two winter months were filled with seemingly endless clouds and snow, there were some moments of sun. Luckily 1412 caught one as it and GP9RM 4102 led L540 as they returned from the CP interchange in Kitchener approaching Queen Street on the Huron Park Spur.

  1. Who takes the AIM cars?

  2. They come from interchange with CP, I’m not sure from before that though. I know the Triple M facility just short of the interchange on the CP Waterloo Sub takes similar cars too

  3. CP gets them from Combined Metal Industries off of Dobbie Drive in Cambridge.

  4. Thanks Jason

  5. Excellent Jason! I also saw that Sunday offered a good lashup down the HPS :)

  6. Thanks Kevin.

    Yeah a 4-pack. GMTX free!
