Looking just as gritty as the industrial heart of the Hammer, CN 4762, 4710 and 7038 slowly lead the 0700 Job by the massive Stelco plant with work ahead at the nearby MANA facility (Max Aicher North America). Following the power are several new covered hoppers that had been lifted from National Steel Car. While I’m not sure if this is one of my best photos of 2021, it was certainly one of the ones I had run the hardest to get, mainly due to parking in this area of the industrial city being almost obsolete. It’s kind of comforting to know that after almost 30 years in this hobby, there are still some photo angles worth running to try and get.

  1. Being one who drives thru this area at times, I have to admit you worked hard for this shot.

  2. Navigating the large one-way blocks and finding suitable parking in some places is one of the joys of foaming Hamilton haha. The conversion of Victoria to two-way was a game changer for that area last spring/summer.

  3. Nice Jason! Finding a place to rest to get out and get shots is definitely challenging there.

  4. Thanks for all the comments guys and James for the information on the road becoming a two-way.
